Welcome! I’m Shelley, the heart and soul behind Ivy Road. I’m so glad you’re here and considering us to document one of the most meaningful days of your lives.
I am the lead photographer, editor, and studio manager here at Ivy Road. With over 14 years of experience, my work has taken me across Australia and around the world, documenting the biggest days in my couples’ lives with intention and care.
My aim is always to blend documentary storytelling with an editorial aesthetic. I prioritize real moments and emotion over staged poses. I’m incredibly grateful to have my work featured in publications such as VOGUE, Harper’s Bazaar, Together Journal, The Lane and Hello May.

Whether she's capturing the joy and love of a wedding, the raw emotions of a portrait, or the breathtaking beauty of a landscape, Lise's passion for photography is evident in every frame. Her goal is to create timeless images that tell a story and evoke a sense of wonder, leaving a lasting impression on viewers.
This is our process:

To ensure every couple receives our full care and attention, we only take on a limited number of weddings each year.
II. capture the magic
Our approach to wedding photography is personal and understated, with an editorial sensibility. We focus on natural moments and genuine emotion rather than posing or performance.
We work in a calm, unobtrusive way, making the process easy and comfortable so you can be fully present. No experience in front of the camera is needed, just be yourselves and have the best time on your wedding day while we capture the magic.
III. Deliver memories and your legacy
Each gallery is edited with a timeless, carefully considered approach. Because of this attention to detail, final images are delivered within 4–6 weeks.
We understand how exciting it is to share that you’re married, which is why you’ll receive a selection of preview images the day after your wedding.
Your photographs are delivered in a high-resolution online gallery, ready for printing and easy to share with family and friends.
WHY WE PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS AS A TEAM
We believe a wedding day is best documented from more than one perspective. By working as a two-photographer team, we are able to capture both partners’ preparations simultaneously, document genuine moments unfolding in different locations at the same time, and tell a more complete story of the day from beginning to end.
This approach also allows us to work more efficiently and intentionally. Rather than extending coverage simply to fit everything in, we capture the moments that matter as they unfold, ensuring a comprehensive gallery with intention and depth, balancing editorial and candid storytelling throughout the day.
